Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 2026
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies SwipeLearn uses, and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember things about your visit, like your preferences or login status.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies (always on)
These are required for SwipeLearn to work. You can't turn them off without breaking the app.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you logged in (Supabase authentication) | Session / 1 year |
swipelearn-theme | Remembers your light/dark mode preference | Persistent (localStorage) |
Analytics cookies (optional)
We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how people use SwipeLearn so we can improve it. These cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising.
| Cookie / storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
ph_* | Anonymous usage analytics (page views, feature usage) | 1 year |
| PostHog localStorage | Session identification and event queuing | Persistent |
Payment cookies
When you go through the Stripe checkout (web), Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. RevenueCat may also store local data for subscription verification. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Cookies we do NOT use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies
- No social media tracking pixels
- No third-party analytics that track you across websites
How to control cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- See what cookies are stored
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites
- Block all third-party cookies
Note: blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to SwipeLearn.
Changes to this policy
If we start using new types of cookies, we'll update this policy and let you know.
